Royal BArdia National Park

The Royal Bardia National Park is situated on the mid far western region on the eastern banks of the Karnali River, about 400-km west of Kathmandu. The park is 968 sq. km in area and extends from the Churia hills southward to the gentle slopes of the 'Bhabhar'. The western end of the Bardia is bounded by numerous waterways of the Karnali River, which have created many large and small gravel islands. A mosaic of grassland and forest of Acacia, Sisam and the large Buttrersed silk cotton trees cover these islands and much to the lower ground.

Bardia is the habitat of a wide variety of animals. Spotted deer, Black buck, Hog deer, Samber deer, Wild boar, Swamp deer, two species of Monkeys, Wild elephants, Crocodile, Dolphin and Blue bull are found here. More than 350 species of birds have been recorded in Bardia. It includes endangered birds like the Bengal florican, lesser florican, silver-eared mesia and Sarus crane.


It can be reached via direct bus or by rafting on the Karnali River or by flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj.

You will then be transferred to our Lodge where you will be offered refreshment & be given a briefing on your lodge & its facilities. After being given your programmers for the day, your room will then be allocated to you.

07.30 Elephant Safari. An excellent opportunity to see Asian Elephant, Great One Horn Rhinoceros, Spotted Deer or Chital, Hog Deer, Barking Deer, Samber, Swamp Deer or Barasingha, Nilgai or Bull, Black Buck, Wild Boar, Royal Bengal Tiger, Leopard, Wild Dog,      Golden Jackal, Striped Hyena, You will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made      Bardia their home. Visitor Center, Crocodile Breeding Center & Tharu CulturalMuseum.

13.00 Lunch.

15.00 Jungle Walk. An excellent opportunity to see the wild animals, small mammals, birds and waits in the Tower (Machan) to have the wild sightseeing, accompanied by our experienced       naturalists and wild life tracker. Excellent photographic opportunities are plentiful.

19.00 Tharu Cultural dance

20.00 Dinner
